SMARTSHIFT1 Linkage kit

If you've read about the SmartShift on Reddit or any of the popular forums, you've likely heard people ranting and raving about how incredible it is and how big of a difference it makes. Honestly, it was all understated. I had no idea shifting my in my MK1 could feel this good. There is zero play in the shifter itself, and everything is extremely firm and positive when moving the shifter between gears. The shifter feels better and more positive than any modern manual car I've ever sat in, including an MK7.5 Golf R. If you're on the fence on whether or not this kit is for you, if you have a 020 transmission, it absolutely is 100% for you. Due to the complexity of this job, I had my trusted early VW mechanic install this kit for me. He had one complaint in regards to the install: the instructions provided by USRT weren't all that great (he did state this a bit more negatively). He ended up finding better instructions on Reddit, and in the end he got the job done, and I could not be happier with the outcome! Truly a phenomenal product, so thank you so much USRT for designing this!
