G60 Solid Rubber Transmission Mount

Original Mk2 and Mk3 transmission mounts are notoriously soft and leaky, G60 variants were blessed by VW Motorsport and equipped with harder solid material. OEM part #357199381C delivers the most refined performance that can be attained for the street.

Here is an illustration of a quick test of durometer (the higher the number the harder the material - 1-100 A scale).

Notice that these mounts look the same. However, they are vastly different in rubber hardness. This makes all the difference in driveline movement control and thus handling balance when and where it matters.
