A jump to 5bar over an original 3bar pressure raises flow by 29%. The most economical way to do it is with a drop-in fuel pressure regulator. On older design injectors, sum of boost pressure + fpr should never exceed 6bar. New technology injectors (e.g. Genesis) may be safely pitched up to 8bar at the rail to achieve higher flow rate with superior atomization.
