With just two simple knobs to adjust, the AEM unit is fine for modestly equipped vehicles running up to 35 PSI of boost. A big limitation, however, is lack of compatibility with fast acting solenoids like the incredible RACE valves. You'll have to actuate the slow and clumsy pump instead. Those who prefer a digital interface plus display should opt for the VC-30 Water Methanol Controller from Snow (which is signal compatible with the RACE valves). Those who want the most serious value plus CONTROL advantage should go for the fully mappable FrostByte instead.
No matter what your style, an engine load referencing controller is mandatory for proper operation. Easily set start and full activation points, monitor the status LED, and utilize pump test buttons for simple system mainenance and diagnostics.
Both the power and ground wires to the pump are integrated into the harness. This simplifies the wiring process and eliminates chances of the pump accidentally activating from a short in the system. An additional wire is included for adding an optional on/off solenoid to stop fluid flow when the system is inactive.
