A modern VW engine's throttle is controlled by the ECU vs. a mechanical cable. This bracket makes converting to DBW ("drive by wire") super-easy and convenient. There's no need to hack and cobble together a solution when the "easy" is right in front of you. Even skilled fabricators will look right past their tools and go this way because it makes so much sense. Get out of the shed and off to the pub with your mates.
