This latest Boost Cooler® features a very trick gauge style controller. The "VC-50" is equipped with a dual mode/seven color OLED screen. It reads up to 50psi boost pressure and displays it, too! It also shows percentage of water/meth injection, low level status, and also secondary nozzle activation directly on the screen.
Unlike other Stage 2 controllers, it can trigger and variably throttle nozzles independently of one another. Set a cooling nozzle (located after intercooler) to spray just after boost hits. Command a second nozzle to add effective octane just before the ECU pulls timing. (This is done from post-throttle body or direct port locations. This sophisticated injection strategy allows for the easiest increases in horsepower and air cooling among water-methanol injection systems. The delivery map, however, is hard coded just like other Stage 2 packages. (Semi-custom mapping starts with Stage 3 and is fully tunable in Stage 11 kits.)
Expect 50degF+ drops in intake temperature and effective octane boost to about 100. (Non-intercooled engines will typically enjoy even greater reductions in peak air temperatures.) Includes: user-switchable MAP-based controller that varies the quantity injected vs. air flow for safe and smooth power output. Also equipped with 300 psi high volume pump, 3qt reservoir, two spray nozzles, Bosch relay, all electrical parts, fittings, tubing etc. to complete installation.
Proper setup ensures superior power output, increased safety margin, reduced stress, and much-improved driveability. The engine load-referencing controller is truly the "special sauce" of a modern water/ methanol injection system.
Nozzles MUST be sized properly to match total fuel flow, boost levels, and intercooling setup. Please contact USRT for help with this critical aspect of kit configuration. Other companies randomly provide nozzles that they have in stock with the lazy and false assumption that "one size fits all" applications. They abandon the user to to determine final setup on their own via trial and error. Dyno time is expensive and so are engine internals. Consult with our tech support to get it right from the very beginning.
