OEM VW intake manifold shift rod bushings wear out and rattle loudly during acceleration and deceleration. Worn bushings then lead to intake manifold erosion that forces replacement.

Note: Bushings are sold in pairs to replace 2 bushing rods. (Early '99.5 engines have an even weaker 5 bushing rod. Upgrade to 2-bushing rod is required.)
