TRANS SWAP KIT (MK1 02J/02S)

Potent Mk1s are limited by 020 gearboxes. This package updates a vintage Golf, Jetta, or Scirocco to the later-model 02J or 02S transmission utilizing the existing/OE engine side mount. Maintain perfect external water pump-type engine position (e.g. early 8v, 16v, 1.6D, ABA 8v). The modernized mounting system reduces vibrations compared to original tech. 

Complete kit includes:

• TIG-welded stainless steel transmission bracket

• CNC milled hybrid dog bone mount (using Mk4-type bushing)

• Rubber mounting bushings

Note: Both 02J 5-speed or 02S 6-speed transmission feature locations for lower dog bone mount. The earlier 02A does not.
