02A Shift Cable Repair Block (Front/Back)

This billet part will quickly replace the weak forward end of VW's front/back shift cable where it connects to the transmission linkage. It is also commonly used for "side of the road" repairs when the cable breaks. Simply tighten down the 4 stainless internal hex bolts and use the existing hardware to re-attach cable end to the transmission linkage. The factory shift weight is retained, and this part adds even more mass for smoother shifting. If yours is not yet broken, throw one of these in the glove box and be prepared for the inevitable!

There is no need to source an entire shift cable mechanism (which is very hard to find, and also quite pricey) in the event of a broken front/back shift cable. Simply install this part and you are back on the road and ready for action! Of course, it's very smart to combine with our billet Side/Side Shift Cable Repair Block.
