Our Speed Sensor adapter conditions the AC waveform produced by a VR sensor and outputs either a 0-5V analog signal or a 12V square waveform. This makes the signal usable by most electronic devices requiring a digital RPM or speed signal. Possible applications include engine control modules, tachometers, speedometers, nitrous controllers, water/methanol injection controllers, and the mighty Cortex EBC.

The onboard Maxim MAX9924 chip can also convert the signal from most 2-wire Hall sensors used in modern ABS systems into a 0-5V or 0-10V square wave. However, the adapter CANNOT convert a VR signal into a 2-wire Hall signal.
